LONG
Ashlonk (أشلونك؟ — Iraqi for "how are you?") is a free messaging app made in Baghdad for the way Iraqis actually talk. It puts voice notes first, keeps calls clear on thin data plans, holds family and work groups of up to 500 people with Arabic-aware names and search, and queues every message so it lands the moment the network returns. Every chat and call is end-to-end encrypted; Ashlonk carries no ads, sells no data and runs no trackers. It is available in Iraqi Arabic and English on Android and iOS.
Writing the name
The product is "Ashlonk" in Latin script and "أشلونك؟" in Arabic — the question mark is part of the Arabic wordmark.

The mark in motion
Twelve animations made from the logo itself — its three dots, bowl and centre stroke. Each has one job in the app, and all twelve hold still when reduced motion is on.
- Dot waveThe dots rise in turn. A loading loop.
- FlowLight runs along the bowl. For loading of unknown length.
- Ink traceThe mark draws itself, then its dots. A loading loop.
- SignalEchoes ripple out from the bowl. For connecting.
- SearchThe centre stroke scans side to side. For searching.
- GatherOne dot becomes three as the bowl opens. A loading loop.
- UploadThe dots lift away. For sending — never as a percentage.
- DownloadThe dots drop into the bowl. For receiving — never as a percentage.
- DoneA check appears and stays. Only for confirmed completion.

Colour
Named after Iraqi materials: Zangar (bronze patina), Lazuli, Aqeeq (carnelian), Ur gold, brick, and bitumen. The palette is identical in the app and on this site.
